Career Development Facilitator (CDF) Instructor Training
This workshop prepares career development professionals to serve as CDF Instructors,
who instruct CDF students to qualify for international certification through
The Center for Credentialing and Education, Inc. Individuals who complete the
instructor training qualify for the CDF Instructor registry, maintained by the
National Career Development Association.
Instructor Qualifications
To qualify for the instructor training, a person should have a strong
background in counseling and career development, including at least a master's
degree or its equivalent in counseling or a related field. In addition, a
person must have at least three years experience as a career development
practitioner, relevant certifications or licenses, teaching and training
experience in career development, and a strong commitment to conducting CDF
training for certification.
New Opportunities
The field of career development is growing and so is the demand for expert,
certified personnel. One-Stop career centers, School-to-Work and school reform
programs, corporate career development programs, job training, and vocational
rehabilitation programs require career development professionals with current
knowledge and skills. Now you can join the cadre of registered CDF Instructors
working to enhance career development by training others for national
certification as CDFs.
