CDF Instructor Training Application

Your application for this March's CDF Instructor training must be received by February 1, 2008. Criteria for selection into this training program must be documented and attached to your application packet per the instructions at the bottom of the page. You will be scored using a point system that includes:

1. Career development expertise: This will be measured in terms of years and level of both education and experience. The minimum requirement for the career development work experience is three years. Further, the applicant should have recent continuing education experiences in career development. The applicant should have delivered career development presentations at conferences or written books related to career development.

2. Training expertise: This must be demonstrated. For example the applicant should have taught career-related counselor education courses, career development courses at the college or university level, or have extensive career development training experience. Evaluations gleaned from and documenting previous trainings conducted should be attached to the application.

3. Commitment: Applicant must attach a plan specifying exactly how she/he intends to use the training to develop and deliver a CDF training program. A letter from an administrator or other key person supporting that the individual will train within the institution or state should be attached.

Upon completion of the CDF Instructor training, you must also receive the recommendation and endorsement of your instructor to become registered and approved as a CDF instructor. If your application is selected, you will receive an electronic confirmation of acceptance by February 8, 2008. Payment by check must accompany this registration for the March class. If you are not accepted, your uncashed check will be returned within one week of rejection. Should you be accepted and decide not to participate, a $300 non-refundable fee will be deducted from your payment. $200 of this fee can be used as a deposit for future CDF Instructor training taught by Susan Roudebush. Should you cancel within two weeks of the training, you forfiet all fees. You may print and mail this page.
